There is No Justice in Life

October 14, 2015 alicia

Sister Catherine Mary is a hospice social worker. I would have never expected to be sitting at a table with her, my father, and mother at 22 years old to talk about my Dad "nearing the end of his journey."

My Dad went into the hospital last Thursday, and came home Monday.

What also came home with him was a hospital bed, a nurse, and a social worker.

Not how I imagined life to play out– so unfair and unjustified. My Mom verbalized this fact to which Sister Catherine Mary replied, "there is no justice in life." She's right.
